Heiner Meyer is a contemporary German artist known for his Pop Art sculptures and paintings emulating feminine beauty and luxury culture. Employing the bright colors of advertising and a wry sense of humor, his work often satirizes these subjects through juxtapositions of female celebrities, such as Paris Hilton, against cartoon characters, like Scrooge McDuck. Born on October 9, 1953 in Bielefeld, Germany, the artist went on to work as Salvador Dalí’s studio assistant in Cadaqués, Spain before studying at the University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig.
