DIVINE INFINITY

Sep 12 × Dec 12, 2024

GERHARDT BRAUN GALLERY MADRID - Calle Claudio Coello 72, 28001 Madrid
We are excited to announce the opening of the new exhibition DIVINE INFINITY by artist Maxim Wakultschik. After studying fine art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf, Maxim Wakultschik (born in Minsk, Belarus in 1973) has successfully transformed his pictures into object-like creations using a variety of materials and self-developed techniques. The main focus of his artwork is on human beings, particularly faces. Rather than simply painting portraits, Maxim Wakultschik aims to capture the aura and magic that each person possesses. In his passionate search for perfection, beauty, and originality, he employs techniques such as fragmenting, defragmenting, experimenting, and seeking new forms of expression. Viewers are encouraged to immerse themselves in his artworks, piecing together individual elements to form a complete picture. However, they are also encouraged to step back and view the work from different perspectives in order to appreciate its various facets and interpretations. Through his intricate and multi-layered work, he explores the interplay of light and shadow, surface textures, and color vibrations.
DIVINE INFINITY

"My art is about love - about the longing for the angelic state - about the divine. I break down physical forms into their components: Into colours, into energies, into molecules. I want the viewer to have the effect of looking at my works through a microscope. What remains are vibrations of light, colours and energies. Because that is what every object, every organism in this world is. A kaleidoscope of perceptions that come together to form an overall picture. So I hope that through my art you can feel the mystery of life, the divine in everything that surrounds you.“
