GERHARDT BRAUN GALLERY ART PALACE - Calle Sant Feliu 10, 07012 Palma de Mallorca
Noah Becker is a 29-year-old German-American painter whose work spans between Berlin and Los Angeles. He is known for his large-scale paintings portraying faces, maps and dinos using a combination of colourful chalk, oil and spray paint. Noah Becker's process was born from the need to soothe thoughts that seemed to clash together in a mish-mash of topics and ideas. Music is always his starting point. From the music he sees color which forms a vocabulary that eloquently expresses his background combining all means of creation.
"This exhibition is about self-love. I’m a work in progress always trying to be the best version of myself. Painting has always been my happy place. Sometimes things happen in your life you don’t expect and growing from these moments is important. I had to take some time away from my happy place in order to grow as a man. My happy place became a place of doubt, through pressure put on by my own self. I’m so grateful to be able to share this work with the world, to show how I overcame trauma in my life. I’m happy to say I’m very much feeling like myself again. This is me shaking off my rust".- Your Noah.
