Gerhardt Braun Gallery is pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “LANDSCAPES” by the young German artist Leon Löwentraut, as part of APERTURA MADRID GALLERY WEEKEND 2025.
On view will be twelve selected acrylic works from the series “Landscapes” by the 27-year-old artist, who has been living and working in the Algarve, Portugal, for the past five years. The abstract landscape paintings are inspired by Löwentraut’s travels to the South of France, Sardinia, and Tanzania, as well as by his life and work in his studio in southern Portugal. In addition, nine of his renowned charcoal drawings will be presented.
Leon Löwentraut is among the most sought-after contemporary artists. This marks his second solo exhibition in Madrid, following the one in 2022. The exhibition will be on view until mid-December 2025.
