Gerhardt Braun Gallery is delighted to present "ALPHA", the first individual exhibition of Andreas Klier. Andreas Klier is a Sports Director for a professional cycling team and an ex-professional cyclist, based in Mallorca. Andreas was always drawing as an occasional distraction, which further broadened his creativity.
In 2018 he painted the first portrait of his wife as a birthday gift and from that moment on he started painting while alternating his passion for travelling and spending time at home. In fact he confirms that his expressiveness is often due to the emotions he experiences during both circumstances. His evolution as an artist has led him to his first exhibition at Gerhardt Braun Gallery under the title "ALPHA".
Etymologically Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and means the beginning. The “ALPHA“ exhibition is the starting point for a series of paintings that has a subjective view evoking emotions through portraits and landscapes with a foundation inherited from post-impressionism, dealing with topics such as freedom, social criticism, contact with nature, the struggle to be yourself, love relationships, gratitude or the importance of having a home.
The emotional content comes from earthy and blue colors with the occasional introduction of the power of yellow or neon pink. Alpha symbolizes the power of initiation in painting for Andreas Klier and the structure of development that is already working.
Gerhardt Braun Gallery will open its doors for the first exhibition by Andreas Klier on Friday, February 10th at 6.00 p.m. in our Art Lab at Calle Can Sales 10, 07012 Palma.
